Air China at a glance

Air China is the national flag carrier of China. Its subsidiaries include Shenzhen Airlines, Dalian Airlines, Beijing Airlines, Inner Mongolia Airlines and Air Macao. Air China is also the largest shareholder of Shandong Airlines and has significant shares in Cathay Pacific Airways. The main hub of Air China is located at Beijing Capital International Airport and is supported by other hubs in Shanghai, Chengdu and Shenzhen. Since 2007, Air China has been a member of the Star Alliance, the leading global network of airlines. Thanks to the membership Air China guests benefit from an extended network of over 1300 destinations in 190 different countries. In 2016, Air China and Lufthansa Group have signed a Joint Venture agreement for flights between Europe and China. With an annual capacity increase of around ten percent, Air China and its subsidiaries are already planning to deploy a fleet of over 800 aircraft until 2020, with an average fleet age of just above six years as of September 2019.
