Travelling from Switzerland to Japan is more convenient than ever with British Airways, Finnair, Iberia and Japan Airlines.

From London, Helsinki, Madrid, Paris and Frankfurt, the four partners operate more than 70 direct flights to Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya per week (increasing to over 90 during the summer schedule 2019). With connecting flights from/to Swiss airports at Geneva, Basel and Zurich, the whole of Japan is seamlessly accessible.

New: From 31st March 2019, British Airways will launch a 4 per week direct service between London Heathrow and Osaka Kansai. Additionally, Finnair will commence a 2 per week new service between Helsinki and Sapporo starting 15th December 2019 and up to 26th March 2020.

Joint fares are available on all 4 carriers, enabling customers to choose their itinerary and schedule to best suit them, for example flying on Finnair, British Airways or Iberia on an outbound flight to Japan and Japan Airlines for their return to Europe.


Full Flat Guarantee

Passengers will be able to enjoy fully flat beds in Business class for all inbound and outbound flights to/from Japan on all flights of the four airlines.

British Airways

A business class seat that makes your trip truly relaxing with an approximately 200 cm long full-flat bed. With schedules designed for short connection times at Helsinki Airport, Finnair makes your travel as smooth as possible. Finnair will be adding 3 flights on its current daily Helsinki-Osaka service meaning the airline will fly a total of ten weekly frequencies during the summer season starting on March 31, 2019. The new departures will now offer an alternative departure for customers with two daily frequencies on selected days. And with Tokyo also going double daily during the summer schedule, Finnair will operate a total of 38 flights per week to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.


Iberia flat bedBusiness Plus: where business and pleasure fly hand-in-hand. Enjoy all the comfort you can imagine: the privacy of our fully reclining seat-bed with direct access to the aisle; besides, before and after the flight, we will reserve a space for you in our fully equipped VIP lounges so that you can carry on working or rest for a while to renew your energy. And since late October 2018, Iberia now offers 5 flights a week between Madrid and Tokyo Narita.
