CWT Kaleva Travel

CWT Kaleva Travel’s special terms for leisure package travel

Terms valid from 1/7/2018

Price and contents of travel packages

All Loma Kaleva travel packages are for self-guided travel and intended for private use. Travel packages are designed and booked on the client’s commission and will be based on scheduled flights. Due to their specialized nature, these special terms and conditions apply. In all instances not specifically mentioned in these terms and conditions, normal travel package terms and conditions apply. The prices and contents of travel packages will be based on the prices, the currency exchange rates, and destination information available on each date.

Only services specifically mentioned in the travel itinerary are included in the price of the trip. Compulsory aviation taxes mentioned in the air ticket are included in the price. However, the customer is responsible for paying any local airport taxes and fees to local officials when departing the destination. In countries within the European Union, valued-added tax is included in the price of the trip. The travelers are responsible for making sure they know the departure times of both their outbound as well as inbound flights. Separate male or female places are not available for persons traveling alone.

Discounts for children

Airliners often grant a discount for children aged between 2 and 11 years. Infants under the age of 2 cost 10% of the full price of the ticket, and are not entitled to a seat. Discounts for children granted by hotels vary according to the destination and the hotel. More information is available from CWT Kaleva Travel offices.

Booking and paying for Loma Kaleva travel packages

The customer is responsible for studying the contents of the offer and the confirmation, and to notify the organizer of any mistakes, without delay, before making any payments. The customer is also responsible for making sure that any traveler information or information on possible special needs they provide to the organizer are accurate. (As according to section 2.6.5 of the general terms and conditions for package travel of the Finnish Consumer and Competition Authority).

European travel packages: a contract has been established when the traveler has paid the full price of the trip upon making the reservation.

Long-haul destination travel packages: a contract has been established when the customer pays an advance payment of 400 euros per traveler, unless otherwise has been stated upon confirmation of the trip. The rest of the payment must be made at least 60 days prior to departure. If the trip begins within fewer than 60 days of booking, the whole payment must be made upon booking.

Some special trips and fare types may require advance purchasing or the fulfilment of some other condition.

A CWT Kaleva Travel service charge will be added to the price.

Cancellations and refunds

Due to their specialized nature, the terms and conditions regarding cancellation of Loma Kaleva travel packages differ from the terms and conditions regarding cancellation as specified in section 4.4 of the General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel of the Finnish Consumer and Competition Authority.

If a trip is cancelled, we will charge a service charge of 100 euros per traveler. The customer will also be charged for all possible payments made to service providers, in full. Flight tickets or hotel reservations with special fares will not, in general, be refunded. Charges may be up to 100%. Actual charges will be confirmed separately in each case. Unused services will not be compensated for.

Changes and transfer of the contract

Changes to a booked trip can be made either by the principal who booked the trip or by a traveler requesting a change in cooperation with the principal.

Changes requested by the traveler will be made according to the rules specified in section 7 of the General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel of the FCCA. We will charge the traveler all costs accrued as a consequence of changes made or as a consequence of transferring the contract, as well as a service charge of 100 euros per person. The original traveler and the new traveler are jointly responsible for these costs. In many cases, it is not possible to change the name of the traveler on flights and hotels if special fares have been used. Issued air tickets will not be refunded. Actual costs will be confirmed separately in each case upon the making of the changes. Changes cannot be made after the trip has begun.

The right of the organizer to price changes

We reserve the right to change the price of the trip upon the final payment in the following cases (as according to section 8 of the General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel of the FCCA):

• If taxes or other comparable payments have changed
• If the exchange rate of a currency affecting the costs of the trip has changed
• If there is a change in the cost of transportation that is a consequence of the price changes of fuel or other energy sources.

Luggage

Luggages are handled according to the rules of the transportation companies, which are available at request.

Insurance

Insurance is not included in the price of the trips. The traveler is responsible for obtaining any insurances they think is necessary for their trip. We recommend that the traveler obtains an insurance which includes an insurance in the case of the cancellation of the trip upon booking the trip.

Passport, visa, and vaccinations

The traveler is responsible for obtaining a passport, a possible visa, and all necessary vaccinations, and for their costs. However, the organizer must provide the customer with general information about the passport and visa requirements of the destination country, including the average time it takes to obtain a visa. The organizer is not liable for any damages incurred as a consequence of the trip being cancelled due to a traveler lacking any necessary travel documents. If requested, we will give advice in obtaining any necessary documents. The organizer is also responsible for providing the customer with information about the general health requirements of the destination country (as according to section 2 of the General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel).

Breach of contract and complaints

The traveler cannot claim breach of contract by the organizer after the trip unless they notified CWT Kaleva Travel about this breach immediately and within a reasonable amount of time, as soon as they noticed a mistake, or should have noticed a mistake. CWT Kaleva Travel must be notified as soon as possible about any mistakes that can be fixed during the trip. Any complaints about the trip must be made in writing within two months of the trip’s end (as according to section 12.4 of the General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel).

Individual flights, accommodations, and transportations

Terms and conditions of travel packages do not apply to flights, accommodations, or transportations sold by CWT Kaleva Travel if they do not include other services. Possible changes, cancellations, and repayments are handled according to the terms and conditions of the service providers. In these instances CWT Kaleva Travel acts as an intermediary, and service charges apply.

Extra services

If CWT Kaleva Travel has acquired tickets to events for the client, their price will be charged along the advance payment. This will not be refunded in case the trip is cancelled, or if the tickets remain unused. Service charges apply to extra services.
